Straight Up : Featured Hair Designers

Almost a week after the release of Curlfriend, we got one more hair set. This time it was for straight hair and it's called Straight Up. These pieces can be used to create a great selection of wigs and I find them to be a lot more easier to work with! Unfortunately there is a glitch that in some cases ruins the final creation and it has discouraged many people from trying out the new pieces...However I still have spotted some amazing creations around the Stardoll world. Curlfriend : Featured Hair Designers

Since the new stardesign hair pieces were released a couple of days ago, I've been peeking into beauty parlors all around Stardoll and I have spotted some amazing creations! It seems that the curlfriend hair set is a very helpful tool and has sparked the creativity of the designers. In the picture below you can see only some of my favourite that I've came accross so far, from the voluminous curls to the blonde mane or the short cut!

Lately on Stardoll : Fendi Tribute, It Girls, Windows on the World and Curlfriend

Hey there, I'm back from an unexpected trip near the sea and away from my laptop! You can see a few snapshots I uploaded on my instagram here. It was a relaxing and pleasant week, exactly what I needed in this summer heat :) Speaking of which, there are only 9 days left for the thermometer to fill up, and it seems that it's moving very slowly. I'm worried that it won't reach the last bonus...

Except the thermometer, a lot more have happened during my absence. I'll try to sum them up in this post.

We got three store releases, It Girls, Windows on the World and the Fendi Tribute. 

The It Girls collection was my favourite of the three. A great collection with many interesting pieces, but I was mostly eager to try on the "Crossover Cardigan" and the "Olive Stockholm Jacket". I ended up buying a lot more. I was pleasantly surprised with the Linen Boater Top and Trousers, because I find stripy clothes difficult to style but these two seem to be very versatile! The "Striped Boater Bikini" and the "Rhinestone Tiara Headpiece" (not pictured below) were my last two picks.

The Fendi Tribute on the other hand dissapointed me. The prices weren't exactly appealing and that totally put me off from buying some items I have spotted on the spoilers. I invested on the "Nude Monster Wallet" thinking I could resize it and wear it as a clutch, which I did in the picture below. My other two picks are basic pieces that I know I'll wear them a lot, the "Black Fendi Belt" and the "Nude Gold Heels"

There's not much to say for the Windows on the World collection. The clothes are not my style, they are too dressy for my liking so I only got the "Black Cigarette Pants" because you can't never go wrong with a pair o black trousers :)

The last thing that happened this week and the most awaited was the Curlfriend stardesing pieces. The quality of the new pieces is so much better than the older ones, and it makes it much easier. even for a begginer, to create a wig. Plus the final results will cost you less since you won't need to use many extra pieces to create shadings. I hope they'll soon take into consideration the request of many members for more wig spots. Anyway, I can't wait to see what everyone will create, I didn't have the time to look around buut I bet there is a lot of awesomeness on the hair bazaar at the moment :p

Ink'd New Store

A tattoo and piercing studio has landed on Stardoll yesterday. The prices range from 2 to 13 stardollars and there are four starcoins items, ranging from 40 to 48 starcoins. The interior and the display case are available to buy too.The store has mostly colored tattoos in a wide range of styles and designs and of course a few different piercings. In this post I'll only focus on the tattoos.

Most of the tattoos go to the suite, which is convenient, and a few of the smaller ones in the beauty parlor. I quite enjoyed this collection since I was bored of the same old Evil Panda sleeve tattoos. The "Cat In A Hat Tat" was my absolutely favourite, and as a crazy cat lady it got me so excited that I got two of them. Then there were the "Dreamcatcher Leg Tattoo", which I find it a tad too big but still cute, and the "Wild Wolf Shoulder Tattoo", which was the best, design-wise, of the collection.

Beauty : Natural Face

I always admired those dolls that managed to achieve a realistic face. And by that I mean dolls that look like real women, not the barbie dolls with the perfect features.

I have poor make up skills, I barely change my medoll, and I have yet to learn the art of face shadings, so I'm always impressed with what people can create with these tools.

Recently, I have spotted two dolls with this look, millaxx and Natali_226. The shadings are on the right places and the make up is just the right amount .

Lately on Stardoll : Epiphany New Collection and Valentine's Pass

A new collection of Epiphany was released, inspired by Valentine's day. The prices range from 10 to 18 stardollars and there are even two starcoin items for 92 and 154 starcoins.

Keeping up with the Valentine's Day spirit, the Valentine's pass for this year was also released. With this year's pass you get two months membership, 200 stardollars, 400 starcoins and five gifts. (click the pic to enlarge)

Valentino Tribute Collection

A Valentino tribute store was released today.

The store has two floors and it consists of both formal and casual clothes.

The prices range from 12 to 60 (!) stardollars. You can also buy the interior for 38 stardollars.

Once more it was a disappointment, for many reasons.

How can a pair of jeans be part of a Valentino tribute store? Why? Where are the beautiful dresses and gowns. I see a lot of stuff that shouldn't be in this tribute store, like the Belted Camo Blouse , the Stud Rock Denim and the Bow Valentino Dress.

And why on earth do they ruin beautiful dresses by attaching belts to them? (e.g. Classic Valentino Dress , Stud Cashmere Dress , Valentino Red Jumpsuit).

Of course not everything is bad, there are some pieces that are great, especially the shoes.

Lately on Stardoll : Minimalism and Tress Up New Collection, Hot Hot Buys Calendar, Chanel Tribute and Subcouture

Stardoll lately is trying to take all my money away. They keep releasing new collections and my wishlist is full of stuff I can't buy but I desprerately want...

A new collection of Minimalism was released yesterday. The prices range from 48 to 146 starcoins and from 4 to 30 stardollars.

My highlights of this collection are : the "Rollercoaster Bookcase"  for 30 stardollars, the "Capitel Chair" for 14 stardollars and the "Minimal Mirror" for 146 starcoins.

Overall it was a very nice collection but expensive.

A new holiday collection of Tress Up was also released. There are beautiful wigs as always, most of them are long. I'm not a fan of long hair but I can see a lot of people loving that new collection.

The prices range from 13 to 18 stardollars.

My personal favourite is the "Leila Hair" for 13 stardollars. It's definately not something you would wear for New Year's Eve but it's lovely and fun.

In other news, this month we won't have the regular Hot Buys. Instead, we'll have a Hot Hot Buys calendar, which is great news for us (not for our pockets though). The calendar starts on December 1st.

Next week a new Chanel Tribute will be released. From the spoilers, I can't say I'm excited for this collection. There are a lot of casual items like t-shirts and pants.

And lastly we will have also have a new brand called "Subcouture" in Starplaza. I don't know yet if it's gonna be an entirely new store, an old one with a different name or a store for tributes.

Lately on Stardoll : MS.TQ and 50% Sale

The new store ,MS.TQ, was released today. It wasn't exactly a jewellery store as I was expecting. The store has mostly hair pieces/extensions, wigs and hair accessories. There are also a few, very simple, jewellery.

The prices range from 3 to 10 stardollars.

Personally I was disappointed with this new release. We can design most of the stuff in Stardesign (especially earrings and necklaces) and we can't change the color of the hair.

And has anyone noticed the similarity between the Hillary hair from Tress up and the new Fringe Base Hair from MS.TQ?

New Dot Winter 2013

The new Dot collection is out.

The colors are fall orange, crimson, pearl white, frozen grey and bondi blue.

The prices are as usual. Mascara, eyepencil and eyeliner for 4 stardollars, eyebrow pencil for 2 stardollars, blush and lipstick for 8 stardollars, eyeshadow for 6 stardollars, lip pencil for 10 stardollars and shadestick for 9 stardollars.

Splendid New Collection

A new Splendid collection was released today.

The collection has colorful eyelashes and makeup/eye shadows.
The prices range from 5 to 7 stardollars (there is a glitch with the blue makeup and it costs 75 stardollars) and there is one item with 75 starcoins.

Update!!!
They fixed the glitch. Now the "Blue Pop Eyelashes" cost 7 stardollars and the "Blue Makeup" costs 75 starcoins.

New Epiphany : Halloween

A new Epiphany collection was released today, inspired by Halloween.

I really like the collars and the skeleton belt.

DIY : Lolita Make-up for Non-Superstars.

Here's a make-up for non Superstars!
All the things you are going to need are from Sunny Bunny, Glam'rus and Spectacular!!!!!
Edit: All the items are for NON-SUPERSTARS.I wrote this post before the starcoins system so that's why the prices in the pictures are in stardollars.Now these items cost: 20, 40 or 30 starcoins.
Here is what you need:

5 Face Hearts from Glam'rus

8 inky teardrops from Sunny Bunny

1 fake eyelashes from Spectacular 

2 OnigiriGirl Charms from Sunny Bunny 

 Now let's see the Make-up:

To create this make-up, first put the two charms in each eye, then place the black teardrops(4 in each eye).You can make your medoll look left straight or right according to where you put the teardrops!
The put the eyelashes and the face hearts and your done!

DIY : Make-up for non-superstars

As you all know non-superstars can't buy make-up!
It would be nice if Stardoll releases make-up for non-ss or at least let them buy the black pencil which is the most basic in my opinion...
Well anyway, I tried to create a make-up with fake eyelashes and some random things I found in the beauty section on Starplaza.
Here's what you are going to need:

The three eyelashes at the top are from Spectacular and they cost 3stardollars each.
All the others are from Sunny Bunny and the prices range from 2-4 stardollars.
Everything is cheap and you can buy the with play and earn!

All you have to do is to put them in the right place!Easy,right??
