PPQ Rockabella Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection

Hello, my dear readers! It was a quite interesting week on Stardoll and since I didn't have my computer during this week I'll try to cover the new releases during the weekend and hopefully write a "Plaza Must Haves" post as well for the Black Friday sales.
The new PPQ collection is an interesting one, I picked some lovely pieces, but many of the stuff reminded me of older PPQ collections a lot and then there was the lace bodysuit, which is a whole different story... I was disappointed we didn't get any head wear, because they are always impeccable!
I'm wearing : Satin Lace Trim Blouse, PPQ | Creamsicle Stripe Skirt, Original Future | Asia Sport Skirt, Evil Panda * | Slit Sleeve Cape, Tingeling | Layer Boot Hide, Nelly | Leather Cage Belt, Subcouture | Silver Ring Belt, Riviera * | Sparkly Silver Socks, Saint Laurent Paris
I was mesmerized by the texture of the two vinyl pieces, the "Vinyl Shift Dress" and the "Black Vinyl Skirt", they seem very realistic, but I do feel that they will be difficult to style. I love the color of the "Lavender Satin Romper", it's soft and easy to work with. PPQ always offers great quality coats, and that's the case with the "White Alpaca Coat" with the vintage feeling. As for the "Satin Lace Trim Blouse" it was the first thing I bought but regreted it the moment I tried to style it. It's vintage inspired and that's what made me buy it but the shiny fabric doesn't do any good to it. It can look very "granny" that's why I ended up combining  it with a graphic print. I would love to wear it in a total vintage inspired look but it didn't look right at all.

P.S. I have styled the "Lavender Satin Romper" and the "White Alpaca Coat" on a post for the Stardoll Blog. I'll update the post with the link to it as soon as it's published.

Subcouture New Collection

I'm wearing : Sequin Constellation Gown, Subcouture | Black Fray Short Coat, Callie's Picks | Lucite Heel Boots, Subcouture | Subcouture Chunky Necklace, Subcouture | Opaline Weebed Shawl, Other World | For the Necklace : Gold Bead Feathered Colar, Special Offer & Gold Accent Necklac, Voile * & Solid Gold Choker, Riviera ||
I look forward to Subcouture collections because I always find that one piece that I love and wear for months and months after the release,  like the "Death Metal Jacket" from the previous release. From all the limited stores it is definitely my favourite because, most importantly, I have the time to think and try on the clothes before buying (unlike the Limited edition madness) and secondly I can find some unique pieces, even though it's not so couture anymore.
I have mixed feelings for this collection. It's a lot more better than the last one (here) but it seems to lack the elegance of the first two releases (here and here) There are pieces I totally adore and others I can't stand looking at them (I'm talking about you, big puffy jacket! ). Once again there are a few red tartan pieces (Stardoll seems to love this more than bright pink lately) and some quite short skirts and dresses, and I wouldn't mind if the interior was gray again, that bright one is very distracting. On the other hand there are the two dresses I picked, the "Sequin Constellation Gown" and the "Tin Bows Dress", which are very elegant, luxury pieces. Many members compared the first one with the "Hot Rods Gown" from the second collection, but in my eyes there are no similarities except the color. It's a gown with excellent graphics and very detailed, an absolute must-have for me. As for the second one, I fell in love with the bottom part, I think that the mix of casual and evening wear is genius, however I'm not crazy of the top, especially of the beige dress underneath. I got the "Velvet Tank Top" mostly because I want to pair it with the "Blue Velvet Gown" from the latest voile release and the "Leather Cage Belt" as a layering piece. I loved the asymmetry of the "Fendi Inspired Sweater" and it's dark blue color, plus the puffy sleeves are the cutest.
As for the shoes and accessories, I must say that I am fairly dissapointed. The bags are very mediocre and some of the shoes are plain ugly ( e.g the "Moschino Inspired Boots" ). I'm still not sure if I like the "Subcouture Factory Heels", but for 12sd I decided to give them a chance. As for the "Subcouture Chunky Necklace" it's probably my favourite purchase, it's bold and big, and works well in different styles.
Wow, that post ended up very long..Sorry for that :P
P.S. My very first post for Stardoll Blog has been published, you can read it here!

Callie's Picks Issue No. 29 : Cozy Coats

I'm wearing : Black Fray Short Coat, Callie's Picks | Black Trench Coat, Callie's Picks | Cropped Black Trousers, Decades | Gold Plated Top, Tingeling | Pleather Bandage Belt, Callie's Picks * | Crossover Knot Belt, Apres Ski * | Structured Thick Belt, Fallen Angel * | Static Metal Belt, Nelly | Overknee Boots, JetSet | Traveller Boots, Nelly | Tartan School Bag, Callie's Picks/Versus Versace ||
.
Finally, I have something to write about because last week was so boring. There was the Voile collection but I don't know if I'll write about it...
So Callie has struck  again, with her 29th collection. The theme is "Cozy Coats" and there are two floors. I'm pretty sure someone suggested that theme on Instagram but I can't remember who it was, but it's nice to see that they are taking our feedback into consideration.
The collection includes one of my all time favourite items on Stardoll, the "Swing Coat" (originally from Fallen Angel). I strongly advice you to buy it, for that price it's a bargain! It's such a strong piece, you can wear it as it is with minimum accessorizing and you will still have a killer look. You can see how I previously styled it here. The "Black Trench Coat" is a classic, the sleeves and the waistline are spot on. As for the "Black Fray Short Coat", I've never seen it before and I was a bit hesitant to buy it at first because of the 80's shoulders, but it turns out that it's easier to style than I thought. It's a good layering piece, since it adds texture, and if you are concerned about the shoulders it actually looks normal if you resize it. The "Tartan School Bag" (originally from Versus Versace tribute) is indeed expensive, but it's so stylish and it can sompliment nicely any fall/winter look. The "Colorblock Platforms" are the kind of shoes I would really want to own in real life right now, they seem so comfy and the best part is that they are priced in starcoins.

Lately on Stardoll : Fallen Angel & Callie's Picks

This week we got two new store releases, but neither of them was too exciting, which in a way is a good thing because I'm so broke after last weeks' releases.
The first one was a Fallen Angel new collection. The problem I have is the same I mentioned in my Tingeling Haute Couture post, for example the "Lilac Leather Peplum Top" is a stunning piece, but that red belt and the black sleeves completely ruin it. Why don't they release the belt as a separate piece? Or at least try to match the colors? Now, on the ones I actually liked, the "Lanvin Inspired Dress" is a beautiful, vintage inspired piece, with a nice texture and color and a fair price. The "Iridescent Taffeta Top & Skirt" might end up beeing a bit expensive if you don't want to break the set, like me, but I can't resist the shiny texture and the cute polo neck. As for the "Pink Lucite Choker", it's in starcoins so that's a good enough reason for me to buy it.
We also got the usual Callie's Picks on Wednesday and this week it was all about blue. I still don't like the color themed collections, and that doesn't change by the fact that I love blue. The collection has two floors but I barely found anything I liked. My favourite item was the "Notebook Clutch" which surprisingly it was priced in starcoins, so double yay for that. It was also the only piece I purchased since I already owned the "Cap Sleeve Babydoll Frock" (originally from Folk), with the adorable sleeves.

Tingeling Halloween Couture Collection

I'm wearing : Column Dress, Cheap Monday | Marabou Petals Skirt, Tingeling | Death Metal Jacket, Subcouture | Hedi Seattle Sweater, Saint Laurent Paris | Overknee Boots, JetSet | Chains Handbag, Limited Edition
It wasn't a good collection but I honestly don't mind since we've already got so many amazing releases the last two weeks.
The only piece I wanted to buy was the "Marabou Soldier Hat" but ended up buying a few other things aswell just for the sake of it, but I have a feeling that I'll sell them before the year ends...I bought the "Marabou Petals Skirt" as a layering piece. I like the slit and the little fringe at the bottom but the applique flowers ruins everything for me. As you can see in my outfit, I covered a large part of the skirt and only left the fringe part to be visible. Same goes for the "Vivienne Tulle Dress", it can add depth and texture to a long dress or skirt, but I don't like it on it's own. And lastly I got the "Thick Patent Trousers" which have a very awkard length but the texture and color are interesting.
P.S Please Stardoll stop ruinning perfectly fine pieces of clothing by adding belts to them!

BodMod New Store

BodMod (Body Modification) is the new Halloween store that arrived earlier today and it blew my mind off! I bought half the store and I plan to go back and get the rest of it.
I'm terribly pathetic when it comes to creepy, scary, paranormal things in real life which is very ironic because I love these kind of stuff on Stardoll. I don't watch thiller or horror movies, and the few times I've made that mistake I literally lost my sleep for days. When I walk past an abandoned house I get the chills and don't even dare to look at it, I'm awfully scared of dolls and I always have a light on when I'm home alone...
Back on topic, I love how they went all the way with the Hallloween spirit and put together a horror inspired collection and not just random, sexy, cute costumes like last year's Young Hollywood. And it's one of the rare occassions we get truly original and one of a kind pieces. Every single piece is very detailed and well made. I mean, look at the amazing  "Ghostly Gown", how wierd, creepy and stunning it is! Just go there and get it before Halloween is over and you regret it :P I can't write a proper review because there are too much stuff I like and bought, but if I had to pick my three favourites those would be the "Ghostly Gown" as mentioned above, the "Doll Dress", I love the distressed sleeves and the length and lastly the "Demon Jacket" because it's the most wearable item of the collection.

Limited Edition New Collection : Glam Rock

Who would have thought that we will get a new Limited Edition collection, out of the blue on a Thursday morning! It was a big and pleasant surprise, for me at least. The collection until now hasn't sold out, even though it's admittedly one of the best LE from the last years, because it was totally unexpected. I was lucky enough to log in the moment it was released and I picked quite a few things, and if I had the money I would have bought a lot more. The one thing I don't like from the collection are the shoes.
The store has four floors with pieces to fit everyones taste, and even thought the theme is Glam Rock, many clothes can work with many different styles. My favourite is the "Valli Fall Leaves Jacket", which I have styled below. It's a beautiful statement piece and the combination of the white and the bold red is stunning. Next in line is the "Perfect Boxy Blazer", and as the name states it is perfect. The boxy cut is spot on and it's a classic piece. I love the little sparkly details and the baggy fit of the"Pinstripe Trousers" and the pricce is quite reasonable. As usual I got a few accessories including the "Chains Handbag", the "Vali Headscarf" and also the "Vinyl LE Garment Box". I like the plastic material of the last one and as much as I hate the color, I decided to give it a try. My last (impulse) purchase was the "Waterfall Metal Necklace". I got it in rush thinking that the collection will sell out fast, but I regreted it the moment I saw it in my suite. It looks like a piece of silver hair and I don't have the slightest clue how to style it.
Outfit 1. Valli Fall Leaves Jacket, Limited Edition | Slit Sleeve Cape, Tingeling | Effervescent Chiffon Skirt, Other World | Ruby Mae Skirt, Other World | Gianni White Gladiators, Limited Edition ||
Outfit 2. Controversy Dress, Saint Laurent Paris | Perfect Boxy Blazer, Limited Edition | Valli Fall Leaves Jacket, Limited Edition | White Silk Flounce Skirt, Callie's Picks | Jeanne Royalty Couture Armor Skirt, Royalty | Chains Handbag, Limited Edition | Traveller Boots, Nelly ||

Callie's Picks Issue No. 27 : The Immortal Kiss

My Picks : Sheer Crop Patches Blouse, Serpent And Orb Purse, Transparent Layered Top, Mercy Skirt, Party Streamer Heels, High Lace Up Boots
Yay Halloween approaches! I hope we get more Halloween stuff besides this Mortal Kiss come back. This collection is nice but not scary, creepy, costumy enough for Halloween. However there are some great, fantasy pieces and there is a reason why Mortal Kiss pieces are wanted, they are well made and unique.
P.S Read the "About the trend". It's quite entertaining!

It Girls New Collection

I'm wearing : Deep V Wrap Dress, It Girls | Steel Taffeta Dress, It Girls | Traveller Boots, Nelly | Lady D Bag, It Girls | For the hat : Folk Hat, Evil Panda * and Diamond Rivets Hat, LE | Rihanna CFDA Headband, Young Hollywood ||

A new It Girls collection just dropped today, with lots of earthy, fall colors and a 70's feel. There are some seriously georgeous pieces, with my favourite beeing the "Lady D Bag". The graphics, the color, the details, everything is perfect. Maybe the size is a bit off, but that can be easily changed. On the other hand the "Deep V Wrap Dress" looks a little flat, but I totally overlooked that, because the moment I saw it I could already tell that it's a piece I could style in so many different ways. With a buttoned up and a bow tie, a turtleneck, a transparent top, or on its own. My last pick was the "Steel Taffeta Dress" with the very interesting sleeves and neckline and the graphic which resembles some of the older, vintage Stardoll pieces. I'm on the fence about the "Ivory Faux Fur Coat". It fits beautifully on the doll, but the quality is suprisingly low. It looks like a stardesign hair piece and if you look it up-close you can spot many flaws, like the rough edges and the wierd shadows.

Pretty n' Love New Collection

I'm wearing : Linen Shawl, Pretty n' Love | Off Shoulder Heavy Knit, Nelly | Black Cigarette Pants, Windows on the World | Quilted Backpack, Nelly | Leather Satchel, Callie's Picks/Versus Tribute | Iris Shoes, Nelly | Color Block Fedora, Nelly ||

I have this awful feeling that I will never wear any of the stuff I bought from this collection. Nevertheless I had to make a post... My favourite piece and probably the one I'll wear at some point is the "Linen Shawl". It's that kind of item that adds a touch of reality to a pixelated outfit. I adore the texture of the "Velvet Babydoll Dress" and it can look great in a vintage inspired outfit. The two pair of pants, the "Ombre Jeans" and the "Tulip Vine Jeans", are cute but nothing special and for that price I should have thought twice before getting them. Last but not least, the "Peachy Platform Boots", are useful and can work well in any outfit, I just wish the socks weren't there.
P.S. Half of my outfit is from Nelly, and I don't even like this store :P

JetSet New Store | VIP Access

I'm wearing : White Fall Sweater, JetSet | Tartan Maxi Shirt, JetSet | Slimane Leather Pants, Saint Laurent Paris | Off Shoulder Heavy Knit, Nelly | Minimalist Alexander Heels, Bonjour Bisou | Stacy Cap * | Dior Tribute Diva Veil, Special Offer ||

A new superstars/royalty only shop has arrived today. Before I start my review I have to say that the name of the store just doesn't feel right, there is something in this term that bugs me. Plus it doesn't say anything about the identity of the store (which is not very clear yet) , it only emphasizes the exclusivity of it.
The store offers fashion and decor items. Generally I don't care for interior releases, since I don't buy decor items unless I'm making a new room (which rarely happens), but this time I made an exception and got a few of the "Ceiling Hangers". It's a great way to display clothes, minimal and modern.
Overall I got plenty of clothes and accessories. The quality of the graphics is very good, in the majority of the items, just take a look at the "Red Patent Leather Handbag". I was also impressed with the "Rock n Roll Skirt". Stardoll isn't really good at making fringe, but this one is spectacular. The movement and assymetry makes it look realistic. My favourite part of the collection is the "Tartan Maxi Shirt". It's an interesting silhouette, one we don't see often on Stardoll and the transparency offers many styling options. Then there is this amazing slouchy sweater, the "White Fall Sweater" which I can't resist. I love the rolled up sleeves, the cozy turtleneck and the texture. The "Rock n Roll Bag" barely made it to my shopping cart, since the gold details are ruining  it for me, but the overall design was quite interesting so I decided to give it a try. As for the "Golden Chocker", I do love chockers, especially those priced in starcoins, so it was an instant buy. And of course I couldn't left the store without at least one impulse purchase, the "Styled Leather Jacket". I have a soft spot for thrown over the shoulders jackets so I bought it immediately, but on further thought the price is very high and the fit is awkard.

Callie's Picks Issue No.26 : The Art Of Contrast

I'm wearing : Black Wrap Blazer Dress, Callie's Picks/Windows on the World | Armor Dress, Fallen Angel | Cropped Black Trousers, Decades | Armor Top, Fallen Angel (for the sleeves cuffs) | White Showpiece Beret, Callie's Picks/Voile | Velvet Laces Boots, MSW '14 | Lumiere Clutch, Royalty * | House Arrest Cuff Left, Tingeling * ||

The theme of today's Callie's Picks is the old time classic black and white. In Callie's words : "Think about the queen of black and white elegance, mademoiselle Coco Chanel. She once said : Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." And you can never doubt the words of Coco!
For me black and white is a statement, it's bold and powerful. I really can't write an objective review for this store, because I simply love the theme and I'm super happy that Stardoll took into consideration my suggestion :) (more on that here ). My picks are a whole lot, and many of the stuff I didn't include can also be easily incorporated in any outfit, one more advantage of black and white, the versatility.
Overall the store presentation is excellent and there is a male outfit as well which is a plus. There are a few starcoin items, mostly accessories. My "Must Have" of this collection is the "Black Wrap Blazer Dress", originally from Windows on the World. The price is a bit high but it's a strong piece that can be worn as a dress, as a coat or even as a top. I have styled it here, here and here. The collection also offers a good selection of accessories. The two hats, the "White Showpiece Beret" and the "Black Hat", were immediately added in my bag, but that's just me and my hat obsession. The "Stunning Falls Scarf" is another favourite piece of mine. I use it quite often whenever I want to add some movement to my outfit and it looks especially great combined with collared tops (styled here). My other picks are : the "Fishnet Dress", the "Inspired by De La Renta Jacket", the "Iman Black Top", the "Safety Strap Boots", the "Black Folds Belt" and the "White Two Pring Belt".

Antidote New Collection : Moschino

** I'm still here! From now on I promise I will have more time to be here :) **
So about the Antidote collection....Hmmm...Antidote has a very specific aesthetic, and this collection is just not there. The whole thing screams LE to me. Sparkles, gold and chains, it's the same Stardoll recipe over and over again. Worst piece of all? The "Sequin Sports Trousers" with the underwear showing off. Best part was the interior, but not when you are on a tight budget. Of course there is a lot of talent around Stardoll and it's no surprise that some medolls managed to make outstanding outfits with these pieces.

Callie's Picks Issue No. 25 : Reddy For Fall

I'm wearing : Floral Embroidered Jkt, Callie's Picks/Archive | Haute Ciuture Black Lace Top, Royalty | Love Fighter Jeans, Nelly | Lucite Heel Boots, Subcouture | Burgundy Shoulderbag, Callie's Picks/Givenchy | For the jean lace patch I used : Lacey Tights, Mooxie Teenz | Studded Cuff, Fallen Angel ||

(First of, let me say that Stardoll should spend more time picking names of the collections. Reddy for Fall? Really? )
As you probably already know, it's a color themed collection. I don't mind wearing red, there are some beautiful shades of it, but I don't think a total red look is the best idea, let alone fourteen of them. I would prefer to see more colors in this collection to blend with the red.
The first thing I did when I saw the collection was to add the "Floral Embroidered Jkt" on my cart and buy it in a heartbeat. Usually these kind of jackets/cardigans can look outdated or mature, but this one is such a strong piece. The style and pattern work great together, and it literally looks good with anything underneath! The "Burgundy Shoulderbag" (originally from Givenchy Tribute) is a classic bag in a classic color and I think it's a great investment. I've already owned the "Burgundy Ruffle Blouse", also from Givenchy, and the truth is that I have barely worn it once or twice. However I still think it's a great addition to a wardrobe, I just haven't figured out the right way to style it yet. As for the dresses, I have mixed feelings. The "Sheer Dress" (originally from Sonia Rykel) is without doubt a stunning dress but it's way different from what I usually wear. I only bought it because of the sleeves, I'm seriously drooling over them, soooo beautiful. I thought that I could somehow hide the dress while still showing the sleeves but it didn't work out...The same goes for the "Longoria Dress". I wish it was two separated pieces. The shine and that (hideous) belt ruins it for me, but at the same time the slit and the neckline are very feminine and flattering. I had some spare stardollars so I decided to give it a chance, I wouldn't have bought it under different circumstances.

Nelly and Original Future Haul

Yep, it's a haul! I can't believe it but I got almost half of the stuff from the new Nelly collection, and a few from Original Future. Black and white is my weakness, and there was plenty of it in the new collections. I may got a bit far with excitement and made some impulse purchases, like the "Box Sunglasses" or the "Tartan Shirt", which in second though seems a bit pricey. If I had to pick one item only, that would probably be the "Quilted Backpack". It's really refreshing to see Stardoll trying to figure out different ways of wearing bags, instead of the usual hanging down from your hand way. I also loved the "Prada Inspired Dress", which is a superstar exclusive piece. It's unique, a bit bizarre and very cute!
I still believe that the Nelly clothes are flat graphic wise, but this time, since the pieces were interesting, I didn't give too much attention on that.
P.S. I just realised that Nelly is not expensive in real life. I might actually consider getting the Vogue sweatshirt!
My picks from Original Future : High Waisted Pleather Pants, Platform Runners *, Mesh Baseball Tunic ||
My picks from Nelly : Box Sunglasses, Kayleigh Collar Top, Wedge High Knee Boots, Off Shoulder Heavy Knit, Tartan Shirt, Love Fighter Jeans, Platform Ankle Strap Pump, Tres En Vogue Sweatshirt, Stripped Skirt, Quilted Backpack, Selene Playsuit ||
I'm wearing : Prada Inspired Dress, Original Future | Deconstructed White Skirt, Archive * | White House Skirt, Windows on the World | Cropped Cape Top, Facebook Gift (three of them, used as sleeves) | Adrianna Boots, Subcouture | Striped Socks, It Girls * | Falling Socks, Pretty n' Love * | Spike Velvet Bow, Saint Laurent Paris | Stunning Falls Scarf, Tingeling ||

Lately on Stardoll : Miss Stardoll World '14, Callie's Picks and Mawi London

This was definitely not the most exciting Stardoll week. We got a few releases, but nothing seemed impressive or worth writing a post for it.
The week started with the release of this year's Miss Stardoll World store. Usually there are some great choices this store has to offer, but this wasn't the case now. The whole collection reminded me of the Versus tribute we got a few months back, unispired and dull. The only thing I bought were the "Velvet Laces Boots".
On Wednesday as usual the new issue of Callie's Picks was released. The 24th issue was all about "Grunge Glam". I have to admit that this whole grunge thing is starting to get a bit tiring. There are many more interesting styles that grunge and girly, Stardoll! However, there were a few pieces that are worth buying. My faves were two things I already own, the "Silver Sweater Dress" and the "Checkered Red Shirt", which I both styled in the "How to Style: The Oversized Sweater" post from last week. My other two picks were the "Bleached Ruffle Jeans Skirt" and the "Nails Necklace". The skirt was a piece that I stumbled upon quite frequently while searching the bazaar, but I never got around buying it. I'll probably never wear it as a skirt, it's just too short, but I love the ruffled finish. I'm not quite sure how I can possibly style the necklace but it is an iteresting piece I wouldn't miss.
As for the last release of the week, the Mawi jewelery collection, I just can't get paste the amazing display and the presentation of the store. It's so much different than what we usually see on Stardoll. Very modern and editorial like. I might buy a pair of earrings in the future, but as of now there is nothing I can't live without.

Strike a Pose New Collection

I'm wearing : Tan Streetstyle Overcoat, Strike A Pose | Safari Parka, Mr (resized) | Black Wrap Blazer Dress, Windows On The World | High Waisted Trousers, Bonjour Bisou * | Crossover Cardigan, It Girls | Charlun Shoes, Killah | Runway Shoulder Bag, Royalty ||

The second collection of Strike a Pose was released earlier today, and it was an instant hit! I wasn't home when it got released but from what I read in other blogs it seems that it sold out in the first hour. That was fast, especially if you think that LE hasn't sold out yet, weeks after it's release! The users clearly showed their preferences :)
I was home when the spoilers got released so I knew immediately that I had to get the two oversized coats. Unfortunately I had to leave before the official release (I forced my sister to check regularly for the release and buy me these two coats so I wouldn't miss them) so I didn't have the change to try on the other pieces. After seeing them now, my only regret is not buying the "Sequin Trousers W Blazer" as well, but now it's too late.
I love the whole presentation of the store. They have kept the same aesthetic with the previous collection, clean lines, basic colors and a mix of casual and streetstyle items. One more thing I like about this store is that the basic pieces are limited but still reasonably priced.
My two purchases, the "Charcoal Streetstyle Overcoat" and the "Tan Streetstyle Overcoat" even though they don't change the pose of the doll, are two excellent pieces. From the rolled up sleeves to the masculine style, everything is right on trend. Plus an oversized, thrown over shoulders coat can come in quite handy on Stardoll, especially if you use the resize glitch and you want to hide some awkards parts.

Callie's Picks No. 23 : Fashion Finalists

It seems that this week will be all about the much awaited Miss Stardoll World event. After announcing yesterday that MSW '14 is coming soon, a new special issue of Callie's Picks was released. The new collection has three floors full of previous MSW store items. I choose just a few pieces for me, the "X Ray Swoosh Dress", the "Sparkle Msw Tights" and the "Hope Diamond Earrings". Overall I wasn't impressed with this collection, too much color and pageant like dresses. I much rather wait to see what Stardoll has on mind for the new Miss Stardoll World store!

I'm wearing : X Ray Swoosh Dress, Callie's Picks/MSW | Silk Bunch Skirt, Special Offer * | White Tennis Skort, PPQ | White Silk Flounce Skirt, Callie's Picks | Metal Head One Piece, Callie's Picks/Frankie Morello | Charlun Shoes, Killah

Young Hollywood New Collection

Finally a Young Hollywood complete collection! I much more prefer it like that, than the past flash collections. When I saw the spoilers I wasn't really excited. But after seeing the store preview, I completely changed my mind! I like how there were many different styles, there was something for everyones' taste. from long gowns and mini dresses to jeans... When the store was released, I went immediately for the "Rihanna CFDA Dress". Even though I didn't find the dress and the way Rihanna wore it in real life appealing at all, the Stardoll version is a one of a kind piece! The "Kendall Much Music Gown" was the other piece of clothing I got. This one too is a unique piece. I have never seen this kind of cut around on Stardoll before, I love the color, the jewels and how modest is from the waist up. And as always I got a few of the accessories. The "Rihanna CFDA Headband" and the "Rihanna CFDA Gloves" can be worn with the matching dress, but can add some sparkle to any other outfit as well. The "Rihanna CFDA Earrings" and the "JLo OFW Earrings" both big statement earrings were my last two picks.
Visit our blog partner Stardoll RealBrands to see the real life versions of the clothes (here)
I tried to chanel the "Rihanna CFDA Dress" and not wear it the obvious way. I layered the "Kendall Much Music Gown" underneath and a few other glittery clothes. I ended up with a look that reminds me a bit of Bollywood!

Voile New Collection

I'm wearing : Midnight Taffeta Skirt, Voile | Beaded Leaf Ball Skirt, Voile | Shoulder Slung Moto Jkt, Evil Panda | Minimalist Alexander Heels, Bonjour Bisou | Raffia Sunhat, Millionaire Mansion Fashion | Random silver bracelets from Fallen Angel, Evil Panda, Tingeling | Winged Godess Earring, Voile

So the new Voile collection..The MSW contest is probably coming in the next few days hence the many new formalwear releases.  But, I can't complaint, since I have found many stuff I like in this one! Many of the dresses are the usual stardoll releases, pink fit and flare mini dresses, bustiers and mermaid skirts (although I must admit that I'm pretty tempted to buy the "Midnight Taffeta Skirt") , nothing new and unexpected.
However there were some unique and beautiful pieces, one of them beeing the "Herrera Gown". It's not the typical black gown, the neckline, the sleeves and the long slit at the front make a difference. It might not be versatile but it's a stand out piece on its own.
The "Beaded Leaf Ball Skirt" on the other hand is a piece that can be worn in many ways. I love this off white color and the different layers of transparency. You can't really see it in the plaza dressing room since it almost blends with the background, it looks much better in a darker room.
The "Bronze Clutch" has two pros, it's priced in starcoins and it looks very realistic. I'm not a big fan of brown accessories but the red details and the design of this one made me make an exception.
There are two pieces that I bought that I'm not sure of them, the "Beaded Couture Tee" and the "Metal Fringe Belt". I'm planning on wearing them together, using the belt as a necklace. I find the top to be a little flat looking, but I'm in lack of white tops and this was a good option.
And last but definitely not least, my favourite thing of the collection, the "Winged Godess Earring". I'm all into ear cuffs and this is a very good alternative. I like that it's not that small and you can see it in your suite and I also like the price! You can also buy two of them and make them a pair ( I did :P )
I threw on a very quick outfit, and I was happy to see that these two pieces make a pretty good match.

Thanks to Stardoll's Most Wanted for the designers of the real life versions.
P.S. I can't get enough of this jacket...
