My Style : Gloomy Evening

I don't know when the "skirt over pants" became a thing again, but I happen to see it everywhere lately and it really stuck in my mind. I have seen it styled amazingly but at the same time it's a trend that scares me because it's so easy to mess it up. So since I don't intend to wear it in real life anytime soon what better way than to try it out on Stardoll!
The bottom part of my outfit is covered up so I chose a revealing top to balance it. It turned out to be a daring look...

After a very long break from blogging and from regularly visiting Stardoll I think I owe you an explanation. I started feeling the whole thing more like a obligation rather that a fun way to spend my time, and I didn't like that. I was tired of having to write a post even when I didn't feel like it just to keep the blog active or forcing myself to create an outfit when the inspiration wasn't there. I was still logging into Stardoll from times to times to check the new releases, but didn't bother with anything else on the site.
From now on I won't write about the new store releases, unless there is something worth-mentioning. I'll post my outfit ideas and occasionally a "How to style it" or "Capsule Wardrobe" kind of posts and anything else I'll  feel the need to share with you.

I'm feeling very uninspired lately, so here is a very boring outfit :P

Unlike public opinion I do like this new HotBuy dress (not gown, dress!). I feel that it has many layering potentials! Ideally I would have removed the frills and the whole bottom part, but even now I can cover them easily and wear it as a top, a very delicate and feminine one.

I am guilty of buying the new and overpriced Hot Buys cape! I don't know what Stardoll was thinking when pricing this item, because the 68 stardollars price tag is plain crazy and totally unjustified. It's not a limited nor a tribute item, neither is part of the Strike a Pose store. It's just a regular, It Girls piece, for fashion's sake! I bought it without thinking and I kind of regret it now, because as someone stated on a club discussion, it's like encouranging Stardoll to continue with these prices. Furthermore is quite tricky to style. It would have been so much better for me if it was just a cape, without the white knit underneath, and that's what I tried to achieve with this look. I used the "Ann Buckle Skirt" from Fallen Angel (still available on Starplaza) to cover the missing part of the cape.

P.S. I got my foot sprained yesterday. That's what happens when you wear flatforms and you are rushing to arrive at the cinema before the movie starts (and it wasn't even a good movie at the end). Now I can't do anything other than sit on the couch. So don't be surprised if you see a few new posts coming up the following days.

My Style : Covered Up

At last, Autumn has arrived in my country and I can't be more happy about that! I can finally enjoy the small joys of cold weather, drinking hot tea, wearing cardigans and walk everywhere without sweating :P I was so happy that I changed my doll's outfit, something I haven't done in the last three weeks... I got to wear a few things that I bought from the latest releases, such as the "Velvet Laces Boots" from the MSW'14 store (review here) and the "Tres En Vogue Sweatshirt" from Nelly (review here). I'm also wearing the "Siri Bag" from the second part of Nelly. I haven't written a review yet for the new floor and I'll probably won't, since it wasn't very impressive compared to the first part.

My Style : Metal Hair

It's wierd how inspiration comes at the most random times. I was trying since yesterday to style the "Chiffon Rhinestone Collar" from Callie's Picks, but the result was unsatisfying. I always ended up looking like a flamengo dancer, which is not bad but not I was aiming for... I wanted also to wear the "Runway Shoulder Bag". Nothing seemed to work until for some reason I started pilling things on my head :P Maybe it was frustration that led me to do that, but I quickly realised that this was the missing part of my outfit! So now I have a very dangerous spiked bun on top of my head, along with a snake skin purse and ruffled sleeves :P

My Style : Inspired by Chanel

I should edit my posts for Callie's Picks and Museum Mile because I found a few more stuff I like a lot. I accidentally tried them on at the same time and I realised I loved them together. I'm talking about the "Multi Colorburst Dress" and "Chanel Eye Sticker". The whole outfit is far from my usual style, I mean look at this make up, it's blue and red! I really like that they create the illusion of my doll looking downwards. 

I'm also wearing this lovely wig from jennawerner (thanks to The Best Bargee Bar None for writing about it in this post) which is inspired by Amelie, my all time favourite movie!

In all of my years on stardoll, I have faced a lot of rudeness and bad behaviors. People like to hide behind their online persona and forget all the rules of courtesy, trying to deceive, steal and insult you. So when you find a person that is kind,helpful and generous, not because of personal interest, but because she just is a good person, it can really make your day! You are probably wondering why I'm writing all this. I happened to stumbled upon a girl a few days ago, who was willing to part with her "Tiffany Hat". No she didn't asked me over 600 stardollars for it, like most people do, but she basically gifted me. Only because she saw how much I wanted it. Just like that. That's what I'm talking about, beeing kind to other people, it's such a easy thing to do. Excuse my little rant, but I just wanted to share this little story and please excuse my english.

I haven't yet decided if I love or hate this color combination. I usually hate pink on me but this hairstyle is so divine that I didn't pay much attention to the color. I tried to keep the rest of my outfit toned down, with black pants and this cute pom-pom purse.

My Style : Crisp White

My style has drastically changed the last months. I think that writing for the blog and also following other stardoll related blogs has influenced my sense of style. I used to create complicated outfits, dark, inspired from fairy tales and most of the times wierd. And then one day something changed and these outfits weren't appealing to me anymore. I wanted something different, more minimal and more close to real life. The only think that hasn't changed is my color pallette, I still prefer black and white outfits mostly..
