Lately on Stardoll : Minimalism and Tress Up New Collection, Hot Hot Buys Calendar, Chanel Tribute and Subcouture

Stardoll lately is trying to take all my money away. They keep releasing new collections and my wishlist is full of stuff I can't buy but I desprerately want...

A new collection of Minimalism was released yesterday. The prices range from 48 to 146 starcoins and from 4 to 30 stardollars.

My highlights of this collection are : the "Rollercoaster Bookcase"  for 30 stardollars, the "Capitel Chair" for 14 stardollars and the "Minimal Mirror" for 146 starcoins.

Overall it was a very nice collection but expensive.

A new holiday collection of Tress Up was also released. There are beautiful wigs as always, most of them are long. I'm not a fan of long hair but I can see a lot of people loving that new collection.

The prices range from 13 to 18 stardollars.

My personal favourite is the "Leila Hair" for 13 stardollars. It's definately not something you would wear for New Year's Eve but it's lovely and fun.

In other news, this month we won't have the regular Hot Buys. Instead, we'll have a Hot Hot Buys calendar, which is great news for us (not for our pockets though). The calendar starts on December 1st.

Next week a new Chanel Tribute will be released. From the spoilers, I can't say I'm excited for this collection. There are a lot of casual items like t-shirts and pants.

And lastly we will have also have a new brand called "Subcouture" in Starplaza. I don't know yet if it's gonna be an entirely new store, an old one with a different name or a store for tributes.

New Feature : Buy From Any Suite You Visit

A new, exciting feature was added today on Stardoll. From now on you can buy items (decor or clothes) dirrectly from another user's suite, as long as the item is still available in Suite Shop or Starplaza.

How it works?

Visit a suite and click on a item you want to buy. The small basket icon will then appear (if the item is sellable) and you can click on it to buy the item.

This is the second update Stardoll has made. We will have more new features coming this week.

Featured Suite : Pippa.Doll

The other day I was reading the "Amazing Stardoll Suites", a blog dedicated to suites' decor, and I stumbled upon a post about Pippa.Doll.

The moment I saw her suite I smiled. You can describe her suite as unique, creative, funny, realistic and generally amazing.

What will impress you the most is that her rooms are moving. If you scroll left or right you will see different things happening like an airplane ready to take off, a train approaching the station, a ghost appears out of nowhere. Every one of her rooms is worth seeing.

Update : Stardoll Background

Stardoll has made a few changes on the site.

They changed the background image and rearranged the tabs to make it more easy to navigate ( they added a new tab "Contests" and put Clubs and Chat in one tab)

LE Decor New Collection

A new collection of Limited Decor was released today.

The collection is inspired by an apartment in Paris.

There are some cute items in this collection, like the "Le Cabinet" for 90 stardollars, the "Choupette Pillow" for 36 stardollars and the "Decadent Chandelier" for 72 stardollars. On the other hand there are some items that have the name brand all over which I find extremelly tacky, like the "LE Hypnosis Mirror" for 89 stardollars and the "LE Parisian Lamp" for 62 stardollars.

The prices range from 20 stardollars ("LE Decor Gold Charm" and "LE Decor Baroque Charm") to 130 stardollars ("LE Parisian Sofa")

Callie's Picks Issue No.3 : Little Black Dress

The third issue of Callie's Picks collection is out. The theme is "Little Black Dress".

Spoiler Alert : Callie's Picks Issue No.3

Callie's Picks Issue No.3 will be released tomorrow! Stardoll has given us this hint : '' "Really, they are so badly dressed, I will put them all in black to teach them good taste." Gabrielle Coco Chanel ''

The theme for the third issue will be the little black dress. I'm so excited for this one!

That also means that today it's the last day the second issue will be available in Starplaza, so if you haven't get everything you want now it's your last chance!

Lately on Stardoll : MS.TQ and 50% Sale

The new store ,MS.TQ, was released today. It wasn't exactly a jewellery store as I was expecting. The store has mostly hair pieces/extensions, wigs and hair accessories. There are also a few, very simple, jewellery.

The prices range from 3 to 10 stardollars.

Personally I was disappointed with this new release. We can design most of the stuff in Stardesign (especially earrings and necklaces) and we can't change the color of the hair.

And has anyone noticed the similarity between the Hillary hair from Tress up and the new Fringe Base Hair from MS.TQ?

Spoilers : New (jewellery) brand

A new jewellery brand will come soon on Stardoll. The brand name is "mstq" and from the picture it looks to me that it will be pricey, like Epiphany.

PPQ S/S 2013 New Collection

A new collection of PPQ was released yesterday. Three new floors were added and the prices range from 8 to 40 stardollars.

There are two things that make this collection notable. First it's a Spring/Summer 2013 collection although Spring/Summer 2013 is already over. Second it will be available for a limited time only (six days) in Starplaza.

About the actual collection now, most pieces are 60's inspired with a big floral print. There are also some pieces with a PPQ logo print, a few marine ones and some gowns in different colors.

I'm pretty sure most of you know FashionMonarch. Nevertheless, I still wanted to feature her in here since her designs are amazing.

FashionMonarch is mostly a wig designer. Her wigs are very detailed, with shades and highlights that make them look more real. She makes a variety of hairstyles, from short, modern bobs to vintage Hollywood hairstyles.

The prices are very good. They are exactly what you expect to pay for such well made wigs. They range from 50 to 80 stardollars approximately.

Young Hollywood Sao Paulo Fashion Week

A new mini collection of Young Hollywood was released today. The pieces are all inspired by Colcci, a Brazilian fashion company. The main female model of the brand is Gisele Bundchen, the highest paid model in the world, and she is promoting the brand since 2005.

I personally don't like this collection, I find it a bit boring and not something you expect from a limited store with such high prices.

I am also sceptical about the latest Young Hollywood collections. They pop up in Starplaza every month since August(Applause , Street Style and Halloween). I can see a pattern here and I don't really understand what Stardoll wants to achieve with that..
