Almost a week after the release of Curlfriend, we got one more hair set. This time it was for straight hair and it's called Straight Up. These pieces can be used to create a great selection of wigs and I find them to be a lot more easier to work with! Unfortunately there is a glitch that in some cases ruins the final creation and it has discouraged many people from trying out the new pieces...However I still have spotted some amazing creations around the Stardoll world. Have you spotted any great straight up desings or made your own? Share them with us :)

Callie's Picks & Fallen Angel New Collections
I'm wearing : Draped Peplum Top, Callie's Picks/Chanel | Bright Wedding Skirt, Voile resized as seen on this post | Shoulder Slung Moto Jacket, Evil Panda | Spike Velvet Bow, Saint Laurent Paris | Blue White Shoes, Callie's Picks | Extreme Spike Choker, Fallen Angel | Chain Necklace, Fallen Angel * | Solid Gold Choker, Riviera | Steel Triangles Necklace, Velvet Orchid | Masai Hair from Tress Up | *starcoins items
The Fallen Angel new pieces were released last Wednesday. There is not something eye catching in this collection. The "Tulle Skirt w Leggings" would have been interesting without the leggings, but with them it's not very versatile. My picks are the "Extreme Spike Choker" and the "Orchid Tulle Dress".The bottom part of the dress reminds me a lot of the skirt from the Street Style Young Hollywood collection and that is why I bought it in the first place. I later realised how difficult it is to style it without looking like a goth princess :)
The Callie's Picks Issue No. 19 was released on Friday the 4th of July and the theme was "Stars and Stripes" in honor of the celebration of the Independence Day. From the outfits I have seen around Stardoll it seems that the hit of the collection was the "Slashed Knee Jeans" originally from ELLE. I'm still debating over buying them or not! I don't usually wear jeans but I have seen dolls who created great outfits with them... My picks are the "Blue White Shoes", the "Draped Peplum Top" and the "Yankee Doodle Scarf". The shoes with the bright blue color and the pointy toe can work well in any outfit and for 6 stardollars they are a very good deal!
(I know I'm terribly late, but either way I wanted to post about these new collections.)

Dior Couture Tribute
This Monday a new tribute was released and this time it was Dior! The collection is a pleasure to the eyes, great quality, cohesion and stand out pieces. It reminds me of the old times tributes with the beautiful, statement clothes and not the casual wear the recent tributes are consisted of.
The prices are okay in general, some items are more on the expensive side like the "White Rose Embroidered Skirt" (38 stardollars), but overall it's a good deal for a high quality collection. There is a dress (Dior Silk Couture Dress, 65 stardollars) available only for superstars (second floor, dress on the middle).
Tribute accessories are always on my wishlist, and the shoes on this collection is a must have! I'm also a sucker for high waisted cropped pants and so the two pairs were an immediate purchase. As for the statement piece of the collection, the "Couture Layered Dress", even though it's pink, it stands out for its unique and original design.

Lately on Stardoll : Fendi Tribute, It Girls, Windows on the World and Curlfriend
Hey there, I'm back from an unexpected trip near the sea and away from my laptop! You can see a few snapshots I uploaded on my instagram here. It was a relaxing and pleasant week, exactly what I needed in this summer heat :) Speaking of which, there are only 9 days left for the thermometer to fill up, and it seems that it's moving very slowly. I'm worried that it won't reach the last bonus...
The It Girls collection was my favourite of the three. A great collection with many interesting pieces, but I was mostly eager to try on the "Crossover Cardigan" and the "Olive Stockholm Jacket". I ended up buying a lot more. I was pleasantly surprised with the Linen Boater Top and Trousers, because I find stripy clothes difficult to style but these two seem to be very versatile! The "Striped Boater Bikini" and the "Rhinestone Tiara Headpiece" (not pictured below) were my last two picks.
The Fendi Tribute on the other hand dissapointed me. The prices weren't exactly appealing and that totally put me off from buying some items I have spotted on the spoilers. I invested on the "Nude Monster Wallet" thinking I could resize it and wear it as a clutch, which I did in the picture below. My other two picks are basic pieces that I know I'll wear them a lot, the "Black Fendi Belt" and the "Nude Gold Heels"
There's not much to say for the Windows on the World collection. The clothes are not my style, they are too dressy for my liking so I only got the "Black Cigarette Pants" because you can't never go wrong with a pair o black trousers :)
The last thing that happened this week and the most awaited was the Curlfriend stardesing pieces. The quality of the new pieces is so much better than the older ones, and it makes it much easier. even for a begginer, to create a wig. Plus the final results will cost you less since you won't need to use many extra pieces to create shadings. I hope they'll soon take into consideration the request of many members for more wig spots. Anyway, I can't wait to see what everyone will create, I didn't have the time to look around buut I bet there is a lot of awesomeness on the hair bazaar at the moment :p
Except the thermometer, a lot more have happened during my absence. I'll try to sum them up in this post.
We got three store releases, It Girls, Windows on the World and the Fendi Tribute.

Featured Doll : Etana
Etana is a pretty well known member of the Stardoll community. However I just discovered her and I was blown away by her creations. Take a closer look at her dress ups and you'll see that they are one of a kind outfits created by a combination of suite items and clothes! I had a really hard time choosing which looks to feature here, because every single one is stunning! You can see her outfits in her photos here. I warn you there are a lot of photos, her creativity seems to be endless!

My Style : Inspired by Chanel
I should edit my posts for Callie's Picks and Museum Mile because I found a few more stuff I like a lot. I accidentally tried them on at the same time and I realised I loved them together. I'm talking about the "Multi Colorburst Dress" and "Chanel Eye Sticker". The whole outfit is far from my usual style, I mean look at this make up, it's blue and red! I really like that they create the illusion of my doll looking downwards.
I'm also wearing this lovely wig from jennawerner (thanks to The Best Bargee Bar None for writing about it in this post) which is inspired by Amelie, my all time favourite movie!
I'm wearing : Everyday Long Blazer, It Girls * (the second one is flipped, click here for the instructions) | Multi ColorBurst Dress, Callie's Picks/Rio | Chiffon Train Top, Rio | Crossover Knot Belt, Apres Ski * | Gianni White Gladiators, LE | PPQ Black Gabriel Bag, PPQ

July HotBuys
The July Hot Buys were revealed and here they are.
It's a wierd collection of things, including a fur and a bikini! I can understand that in some countries around the world it's winter, but a more cohesive collection, not season based, would be more pleasant to the eyes.
So far I like the "Hot Buys Tassel Choker" and the "Hot Buys Isabel Purse".

Callie's Picks Issue No.18 Print Perfect
The 18th issue of Callie's Picks is here and the theme is Print Perfect. That means many dresses with abstract prints and bright colors! In Callie's words "Be Perfect Print, for a vibrant, daring you :) ". I hope the next collection will be all about minimalism, because frankly we had enough of those maximalism collections already...
Back to the collection, of course it was all about the DVF bow ("Oversized Bow"). One of the rare items on Stardoll, released on the DVF Tribute back in 2010. I never understood all the fuss about this bow, I would have never paid a few hundreds of stardollars for it, but for 9 stardollars is a pretty good deal :) I'm planning on styling it as a scarf/bowtie. For me though this collection was all about this dress ("Multi Color Paillettes Frock"). So many colors but still such an easy piece to wear!
I'm wearing : Multi Color Paillettes Frock, DVF/Callie's Picks | Double Chanel Purses, Chanel Tribute | Silver Shimmer Heels, Pretty n' Love | Sparkly Silver Socks, Saint Laurent Tribute | Perennials Socks, Pretty n' Love * | Pastel Paris Hair, Hot Buys Weekly/Callie's Picks | Lady Longhorne Shrung, Sea of Stars | Armor Top, Fallen Angel *

Museum Mile Fashion Vs. Art
A new collection of Museum Mile was released today. It is limited and already some of the items are sold out. The collection includes designer decor (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Celine), five designer outfits (inspired by Elie Saab, Dior, Chanel) and a nailpolish (!). It seems that this is the last tribute store of the season. Visit our blog partner Stardoll Realbrands to see the real versions of the clothes (here)
The highlight of the collection was the "Butterfly Couture Dress". It was animated and costed 64 stardollars. By the time I got in the store is was nearly sold out. My other favourite were the "Dior Inspired Heels", for 22 stardollars, a beautiful pair of pointy black heels with nude straps. I can imagine them in a tone of outfits! The interior was my last purchase even though I don't see why this had to be limited..
Overall the collection has some interesting pieces and for a limited collection the prices are decent, close to any other tribute store.

How to Style : Mr. Clothes
Who said that a girl can't wear boys clothes! Inspired from the latest Mr. collection, I searched my wardrobe for my favourite men's clothing and accessories to present you in this How to Style post.
The problem with the boys clothes are the wide shoulders and of course the position of the legs. So if you can cover those problematic areas you can achieve a perfect look. In the men's section, the prices are better (more starcoins items) and you can find amazing button ups and logo shirts.

Picks/Bonjour Bisou/Archive | Stacy Cap * | Bow Visor, Riviera

In this collection the one piece that caught my attention immediately was the "Chiffon Train Top", a piece with an original design and great graphics. And for 13 stardollars, it was a great purchase!
My other picks are the "Silver Paulista Stilettos", a pair of delicate, stunning heels, the "White Drape Blazer", because a white jacket is always a must have, and last but not least the "Red Fringe Purse". Red is not the color I usually go for, but I was impressed with the fringes movement. I can't express my self better but I feel that the fringes add a vividness to the bag.

Versace Tribute
The second tribute of the season is here and it is as much dissapointing as the first one. A Versace tribute was the worst desicion Stardoll could make. Like we don't have enough of these gold, zebra, leopard prints and over the top tight and revealing clothes already. I don't want to dress my doll like a trashy reality tv star. Overall a store with flat looking clothes and lack of quality and good taste. I only liked the "Vogue Chain Purse" but I do believe it's not worth 20 stardollars.
