Evil Panda New Collection

Earlier today a new collection of Evil Panda appeared on Starplaza. I have to admit that this week on Stardoll started very well. This collection has some very interesting pieces. 

The prices range from 96 to 152 starcoins and from 7 to 18 stardollars and they are certainly not buyer friendly. There is a constant increase of the prices lately on Stardoll, not only in this store. Starcoins items are rarely seen anymore in the new releases and you can hardly buy something less than 6 stardollars. I would love to know what do you think of that.

Lately on Stardoll : Apres Ski, Young Hollywood and Callie's Picks

So far this week we got many releases but nothing exciting or interesting.

First was a mini collection of Young Hollywood, inspired by the Golden Glode Awards red carpet. They sold out pretty fast. However, I still can understand why. It was a dissapointing collection and very expensive.

After a few hours we got a new collection of Apres Ski, possibly the most interesting of the three releases.

My picks from the store are the Fuzzy Beverly Sweater for 14 stardollars, the Apres Ski Pumps for 10 stardollars and the Sueded Platforms for 10 stardollars.

And lastly, earlier today, a new collection of Callie's Picks was released. The theme of this issue was "Statement Tee". The collection consists of casual clothes, it's colorful and honestly the most boring so far.

My picks are the Gucci Yellow Shoulder Bag for 14 stardollars (originally for Gucci Holiday Tribute), the Osaka Ultra High Platforms for 75 starcoins and the Candie's Plaid Square Scarf for 9 stardollars (originally from Kohl's)

Lately on Stardoll : Callie's Picks, Voile Holiday Boutique, Holidays in Starplaza and Velvet Orchid

Two new issues of Callie's Picks were released during my absent, the "Celebration Issue" and the "Think Pink". 

The Celebration Issue had two floor full of beautiful gowns and party dresses. This collection was my favourite so far.

The Think Pink collection has one floor full of pink clothes and accessories.

A collection of Voile Holiday Boutique was also released. There are some pretty things on this collection as well, like the "Going With The Wind Gown" (first floor, third dress) and the "Fairy Dress" (second floor, third dress).

And lastly, there were some new addittions on Velvet Orchid, Bonjour Bisou and It Girls.

Saint Laurent Paris Tribute Collection

The third tribute store for this month has been released and it's an YSL tribute. The store has two floors and there are plenty of mini dresses and casual clothes and a gown. The prices range from 14 to 44 stardollars. You can also buy the interior for 35 stardollars.

The shoes, oh the shoes...How beautiful are they! And the bags, of course, are so chic and classic.

On the other hand the clothes are not impressive. There is only one gown in this tribute which is disapointing. My favourite clothing pieces are by far the "Slimane Sequin Dress", the "Saint Laurent Gown" and the "Heidi Seattle Sweater" . Everything else is mediocre and some of them are just ugly ( Mesh Hedi Dress. Why so much exposure? I just want my dolly's butt to be covered, is that too much to ask for? And all those super mini dresses..).

Bonjour Bisou New Collection

A new Bonjour Bisou collection was released today. The prices range from 6 to 20 stardollars and from 120 to 146 starcoins.

Overall it's a very nice collection. I find that most of the pieces are versatile and can be worn in many ways. I enjoyed very much creating outfits with these clothes. The collared dresses and the tops are great layering pieces and the whole collection is very cohesive. My only small complain is that the hat and headband go beside the head but I'm sure that glitch will be fixed soon.

Pet-a-Porter New Collection

A new Pet-a-Porter Christmas collection is out. There are cats, dogs, a panda, a parrot and a lamb. They are all in the Christmas spirit and they are animated (meaning that they blink and a couple of them move their tail). Everything in the store, except the bags and boxes, is limited.

The prices for the animals range from 68 to 95 stardollars and for the decorations from 11 to 28 stardollars. You can also buy the interior for 75 stardollars (which is limited too).

I'm not really interested in this store and apparently a lot of members share the same opinion (the store was released seven hours ago and almost everything is still available).

Why? Because of the prices (obviously), the fact that they change after some time and people are reluctant to buy something they might not like it in the future and frankly who wants to spend so much money on a pet when instead they can get an awesome tribute gown?

Rio New Collection

This new collection consists of many festive dresses, lots of sparkle, glitter and sequins.

The prices range from 8 to 18 stardollars and from 78 to 108 starcoins.

This collection is one of the best Stardoll has released lately. It's in the Christmas spirit and even though I usually don't like much glittery stuff most of these pieces look awesome when combined with more casual clothes. My only complain is the lenght of the dresses, most dresses are very short.

My favourites are the "Pretty Party Dress", the "Iridescent Pumps", the "New Year Party Dress", the "Glitter Peep Toes", the "Shinny Peplum" and the "Teal Holiday Dress".

Callie's Picks Issue No.4 : 1 skirt, 10 looks

The new collection of Callie's Picks is here. This is the 4th issue and the theme is how to create multiple outfits that all include the same statement piece, in our case the "Callie Chains Skirt".

The store has one floor and the prices range from 7 to 27 stardollars and from 48 to 152 starcoins.

Overall when I saw the pieces separately, I noticed that there are some great items. The arrangement on the mannequins are once again awful and overwhelming so that it turns you away from buying. Huge part in this plays the ugliness of the skirt wich is in every outfit.

The highlight of this collection are the jackets. The re-release of the Elle and the HotBuys Jacket caused a small fuss in the Stardoll community. The store included also past Hot Buys like the "Peach One Piece" from May 2009 (same as the "Band Jacket" mentioned before), the "Callies Snowboots" from February 2009, the "Fishnet Top" and the "Accordion Purse" from October 2009 and the"Sparkle Sunglasses" from August 2009.Additionally there are several pieces from Tribute stores like the "Torero Pumps" ,and "Spike Bowling Bag", both from Louboutin, the "Lace Floral Dress" from Dolce and Gabbana, the "Studding Jacket" and "Handcuff Bag" from Frankie Morello, the "Dior Couture Top" from Couture Tribute and the "Sequined Skinny Pants" from Just Cavalli.

Valentino Tribute Collection

A Valentino tribute store was released today.

The store has two floors and it consists of both formal and casual clothes.

The prices range from 12 to 60 (!) stardollars. You can also buy the interior for 38 stardollars.

Once more it was a disappointment, for many reasons.

How can a pair of jeans be part of a Valentino tribute store? Why? Where are the beautiful dresses and gowns. I see a lot of stuff that shouldn't be in this tribute store, like the Belted Camo Blouse , the Stud Rock Denim and the Bow Valentino Dress.

And why on earth do they ruin beautiful dresses by attaching belts to them? (e.g. Classic Valentino Dress , Stud Cashmere Dress , Valentino Red Jumpsuit).

Of course not everything is bad, there are some pieces that are great, especially the shoes.
