Callie's Picks Issue No. 29 : Cozy Coats

I'm wearing : Black Fray Short Coat, Callie's Picks | Black Trench Coat, Callie's Picks | Cropped Black Trousers, Decades | Gold Plated Top, Tingeling | Pleather Bandage Belt, Callie's Picks * | Crossover Knot Belt, Apres Ski * | Structured Thick Belt, Fallen Angel * | Static Metal Belt, Nelly | Overknee Boots, JetSet | Traveller Boots, Nelly | Tartan School Bag, Callie's Picks/Versus Versace ||
.
Finally, I have something to write about because last week was so boring. There was the Voile collection but I don't know if I'll write about it...
So Callie has struck  again, with her 29th collection. The theme is "Cozy Coats" and there are two floors. I'm pretty sure someone suggested that theme on Instagram but I can't remember who it was, but it's nice to see that they are taking our feedback into consideration.
The collection includes one of my all time favourite items on Stardoll, the "Swing Coat" (originally from Fallen Angel). I strongly advice you to buy it, for that price it's a bargain! It's such a strong piece, you can wear it as it is with minimum accessorizing and you will still have a killer look. You can see how I previously styled it here. The "Black Trench Coat" is a classic, the sleeves and the waistline are spot on. As for the "Black Fray Short Coat", I've never seen it before and I was a bit hesitant to buy it at first because of the 80's shoulders, but it turns out that it's easier to style than I thought. It's a good layering piece, since it adds texture, and if you are concerned about the shoulders it actually looks normal if you resize it. The "Tartan School Bag" (originally from Versus Versace tribute) is indeed expensive, but it's so stylish and it can sompliment nicely any fall/winter look. The "Colorblock Platforms" are the kind of shoes I would really want to own in real life right now, they seem so comfy and the best part is that they are priced in starcoins.

Lately on Stardoll : Fallen Angel & Callie's Picks

This week we got two new store releases, but neither of them was too exciting, which in a way is a good thing because I'm so broke after last weeks' releases.
The first one was a Fallen Angel new collection. The problem I have is the same I mentioned in my Tingeling Haute Couture post, for example the "Lilac Leather Peplum Top" is a stunning piece, but that red belt and the black sleeves completely ruin it. Why don't they release the belt as a separate piece? Or at least try to match the colors? Now, on the ones I actually liked, the "Lanvin Inspired Dress" is a beautiful, vintage inspired piece, with a nice texture and color and a fair price. The "Iridescent Taffeta Top & Skirt" might end up beeing a bit expensive if you don't want to break the set, like me, but I can't resist the shiny texture and the cute polo neck. As for the "Pink Lucite Choker", it's in starcoins so that's a good enough reason for me to buy it.
We also got the usual Callie's Picks on Wednesday and this week it was all about blue. I still don't like the color themed collections, and that doesn't change by the fact that I love blue. The collection has two floors but I barely found anything I liked. My favourite item was the "Notebook Clutch" which surprisingly it was priced in starcoins, so double yay for that. It was also the only piece I purchased since I already owned the "Cap Sleeve Babydoll Frock" (originally from Folk), with the adorable sleeves.

Callie's Picks Issue No. 27 : The Immortal Kiss

My Picks : Sheer Crop Patches Blouse, Serpent And Orb Purse, Transparent Layered Top, Mercy Skirt, Party Streamer Heels, High Lace Up Boots
Yay Halloween approaches! I hope we get more Halloween stuff besides this Mortal Kiss come back. This collection is nice but not scary, creepy, costumy enough for Halloween. However there are some great, fantasy pieces and there is a reason why Mortal Kiss pieces are wanted, they are well made and unique.
P.S Read the "About the trend". It's quite entertaining!

Callie's Picks Issue No.26 : The Art Of Contrast

I'm wearing : Black Wrap Blazer Dress, Callie's Picks/Windows on the World | Armor Dress, Fallen Angel | Cropped Black Trousers, Decades | Armor Top, Fallen Angel (for the sleeves cuffs) | White Showpiece Beret, Callie's Picks/Voile | Velvet Laces Boots, MSW '14 | Lumiere Clutch, Royalty * | House Arrest Cuff Left, Tingeling * ||

The theme of today's Callie's Picks is the old time classic black and white. In Callie's words : "Think about the queen of black and white elegance, mademoiselle Coco Chanel. She once said : Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." And you can never doubt the words of Coco!
For me black and white is a statement, it's bold and powerful. I really can't write an objective review for this store, because I simply love the theme and I'm super happy that Stardoll took into consideration my suggestion :) (more on that here ). My picks are a whole lot, and many of the stuff I didn't include can also be easily incorporated in any outfit, one more advantage of black and white, the versatility.
Overall the store presentation is excellent and there is a male outfit as well which is a plus. There are a few starcoin items, mostly accessories. My "Must Have" of this collection is the "Black Wrap Blazer Dress", originally from Windows on the World. The price is a bit high but it's a strong piece that can be worn as a dress, as a coat or even as a top. I have styled it here, here and here. The collection also offers a good selection of accessories. The two hats, the "White Showpiece Beret" and the "Black Hat", were immediately added in my bag, but that's just me and my hat obsession. The "Stunning Falls Scarf" is another favourite piece of mine. I use it quite often whenever I want to add some movement to my outfit and it looks especially great combined with collared tops (styled here). My other picks are : the "Fishnet Dress", the "Inspired by De La Renta Jacket", the "Iman Black Top", the "Safety Strap Boots", the "Black Folds Belt" and the "White Two Pring Belt".

Callie's Picks Issue No. 25 : Reddy For Fall

I'm wearing : Floral Embroidered Jkt, Callie's Picks/Archive | Haute Ciuture Black Lace Top, Royalty | Love Fighter Jeans, Nelly | Lucite Heel Boots, Subcouture | Burgundy Shoulderbag, Callie's Picks/Givenchy | For the jean lace patch I used : Lacey Tights, Mooxie Teenz | Studded Cuff, Fallen Angel ||

(First of, let me say that Stardoll should spend more time picking names of the collections. Reddy for Fall? Really? )
As you probably already know, it's a color themed collection. I don't mind wearing red, there are some beautiful shades of it, but I don't think a total red look is the best idea, let alone fourteen of them. I would prefer to see more colors in this collection to blend with the red.
The first thing I did when I saw the collection was to add the "Floral Embroidered Jkt" on my cart and buy it in a heartbeat. Usually these kind of jackets/cardigans can look outdated or mature, but this one is such a strong piece. The style and pattern work great together, and it literally looks good with anything underneath! The "Burgundy Shoulderbag" (originally from Givenchy Tribute) is a classic bag in a classic color and I think it's a great investment. I've already owned the "Burgundy Ruffle Blouse", also from Givenchy, and the truth is that I have barely worn it once or twice. However I still think it's a great addition to a wardrobe, I just haven't figured out the right way to style it yet. As for the dresses, I have mixed feelings. The "Sheer Dress" (originally from Sonia Rykel) is without doubt a stunning dress but it's way different from what I usually wear. I only bought it because of the sleeves, I'm seriously drooling over them, soooo beautiful. I thought that I could somehow hide the dress while still showing the sleeves but it didn't work out...The same goes for the "Longoria Dress". I wish it was two separated pieces. The shine and that (hideous) belt ruins it for me, but at the same time the slit and the neckline are very feminine and flattering. I had some spare stardollars so I decided to give it a chance, I wouldn't have bought it under different circumstances.

Lately on Stardoll : Miss Stardoll World '14, Callie's Picks and Mawi London

This was definitely not the most exciting Stardoll week. We got a few releases, but nothing seemed impressive or worth writing a post for it.
The week started with the release of this year's Miss Stardoll World store. Usually there are some great choices this store has to offer, but this wasn't the case now. The whole collection reminded me of the Versus tribute we got a few months back, unispired and dull. The only thing I bought were the "Velvet Laces Boots".
On Wednesday as usual the new issue of Callie's Picks was released. The 24th issue was all about "Grunge Glam". I have to admit that this whole grunge thing is starting to get a bit tiring. There are many more interesting styles that grunge and girly, Stardoll! However, there were a few pieces that are worth buying. My faves were two things I already own, the "Silver Sweater Dress" and the "Checkered Red Shirt", which I both styled in the "How to Style: The Oversized Sweater" post from last week. My other two picks were the "Bleached Ruffle Jeans Skirt" and the "Nails Necklace". The skirt was a piece that I stumbled upon quite frequently while searching the bazaar, but I never got around buying it. I'll probably never wear it as a skirt, it's just too short, but I love the ruffled finish. I'm not quite sure how I can possibly style the necklace but it is an iteresting piece I wouldn't miss.
As for the last release of the week, the Mawi jewelery collection, I just can't get paste the amazing display and the presentation of the store. It's so much different than what we usually see on Stardoll. Very modern and editorial like. I might buy a pair of earrings in the future, but as of now there is nothing I can't live without.

Callie's Picks No. 23 : Fashion Finalists

It seems that this week will be all about the much awaited Miss Stardoll World event. After announcing yesterday that MSW '14 is coming soon, a new special issue of Callie's Picks was released. The new collection has three floors full of previous MSW store items. I choose just a few pieces for me, the "X Ray Swoosh Dress", the "Sparkle Msw Tights" and the "Hope Diamond Earrings". Overall I wasn't impressed with this collection, too much color and pageant like dresses. I much rather wait to see what Stardoll has on mind for the new Miss Stardoll World store!

I'm wearing : X Ray Swoosh Dress, Callie's Picks/MSW | Silk Bunch Skirt, Special Offer * | White Tennis Skort, PPQ | White Silk Flounce Skirt, Callie's Picks | Metal Head One Piece, Callie's Picks/Frankie Morello | Charlun Shoes, Killah

Callie's Picks Issue No. 22 : 1 Of A Kinds

I don't have much to say about this collection. I have heard around Stardoll that there are some rare and wanted items in this issue and I indeed indentify some Mortal Kiss and older Hot Buys. However my view on one-of-a-kind clothing is much, much different that what I see in this collection. I can see how some of them can be considered as unique but the rest of them looks like ordinary clothes to me, especially with the way they styled them.  This time I won't post my picks, since I'm still undecided if I want to buy those items or not. So I'll just post the highlights of the collection, pieces that stood out from the rest and according to your bugdet might worth buying. The "Chiffon Rhinestone Collar", originally from Mortal Kiss is a stunning piece you can use in many ways.To add volume to a skirt, create a peplum for a top or with a bit of resizing create ruffled sleeves! The "Coco Top" was actually the first piece that draw my attention and wanted to buy until I saw the price tag :O Why charge 25 stardollars for a plain top? I understand that you pay to get the Chanel logo, but not that much. However the top itself is a cute piece, that can look great in a sports luxe outfit. And lastly there is the "Versace Inspired Space Dress", also from Mortal Kiss. The geometric pattern and the shiny material are interesting, but the color and the fitting of the dress are not very appealing.

Callie's Picks Issue No. 21 : Designer Galore

On Wednesday the 21st Callie's Picks issue was released and the theme was "Designer Galore". A collection of designer pieces from the archive of Stardoll. I love the whole aesthetic of the issue. The mannequins are not overloaded with clothes and accessories and the arrangement brings out a feeling of luxury. It's true that some of the dresses are highly priced, but that's what the whole issue is all about. Designer pieces are a luxury you have to pay a little more to acquire and that is something that applies both in real life and Stardoll!
My favourite piece is the "Blouse Inspired by Stella McCartney". It's a stunning piece, one of the few in Stardoll that is as good as the real life version (if not better). It was an item I coveted for a long time and when I found it a few months ago (I bought two of them for some reason :P) I was super happy. I've been trying all these months to style it properly but still haven't found how. It's a statement piece and that makes it impossible for me to include in an outfit no matter how much I like it! I found an old post from PaperdollHeaven Lookbook, that featured --Kayley wearing it and looking absolutely fierce! Click here to read it.
My other pick is the little "Black Gucci Handbag". It's cute, minimal and it can work with many different styles.
Overall, nice presentation but not that great individual pieces.

Callie's Picks Issue No. 20 : Bikinimania

We are in the middle of July and Stardoll has decided to dedicate this week's Callie's Picks to that! That means a collection with bikinis, sandals and beach accessories. In Callie's words "But, whether or not you're on the beach or stuck in an office, it's always summer on Stardoll".

There is not much for me in this issue and many members share the same opinion as me. However I got past the beachwear and focused on the accessories of the collection.
I lately have an obsession with layering necklaces so I got two lovely ones from the store, the "Turquoise Tradition Necklace" and the "Gold Cascade Necklace".
I bought the "Odalisque Pants" as a layering piece as I doubt I'll wear them as they are!
The (once PPQ) "All Black Sandals" are a staple for every wardrobe and can work in many outfits!
Lastly there is a Versus Tribute bag, "Leather Satchel" which you can barely see in the left outfit, layered underneather the jacket. Quite nice but I'm not sure if I want to spend so much for it.

What was your favourite piece?
I'm wearing : (left) Frappe Tee, It Girls | Fighting for Trousers, Nelly | Odalisque Pants, Rio/Callie's Picks | Shoulder Slung Moto Jkt, Evil Panda | Leather Satchel, Versus Tribute/Callie's Picks | All Black Sandals, PPQ/Callie's Picks | Solid Gold Choker, Riviera | Turquoise Tradition Necklace, Callie's Picks | (right) Frappe Tee, It Girls | Basic White Long Skirt, Basics * | Charlun Shoes, Killah | Solid Gold Choker, Riviera | Turquoise Tradition Necklace, Callie's Picks | Gold Cascade Necklace, Callie's Picks

Callie's Picks & Fallen Angel New Collections

I'm wearing : Draped Peplum Top, Callie's Picks/Chanel | Bright Wedding Skirt, Voile resized as seen on this post | Shoulder Slung Moto Jacket, Evil Panda | Spike Velvet Bow, Saint Laurent Paris | Blue White Shoes, Callie's Picks | Extreme Spike Choker, Fallen Angel | Chain Necklace, Fallen Angel * | Solid Gold Choker, Riviera | Steel Triangles Necklace, Velvet Orchid | Masai Hair from Tress Up | *starcoins items

The Fallen Angel new pieces were released last Wednesday. There is not something eye catching in this collection. The "Tulle Skirt w Leggings" would have been interesting without the leggings, but with them it's not very versatile. My picks are the "Extreme Spike Choker" and the "Orchid Tulle Dress".The bottom part of the dress reminds me a lot of the skirt from the Street Style Young Hollywood collection and that is why I bought it in the first place. I later realised how difficult it is to style it without looking like a goth princess :)
The Callie's Picks Issue No. 19 was released on Friday the 4th of July and the theme was "Stars and Stripes" in honor of the celebration of the Independence Day. From the outfits I have seen around Stardoll it seems that the hit of the collection was the "Slashed Knee Jeans" originally from ELLE. I'm still debating over buying them or not! I don't usually wear jeans but I have seen dolls who created great outfits with them... My picks are the "Blue White Shoes", the "Draped Peplum Top" and the "Yankee Doodle Scarf". The shoes with the bright blue color and the pointy toe can work well in any outfit and for 6 stardollars they are a very good deal!
(I know I'm terribly late, but either way I wanted to post about these new collections.)

Callie's Picks Issue No.18 Print Perfect

The 18th issue of Callie's Picks is here and the theme is Print Perfect. That means many dresses with abstract prints and bright colors! In Callie's words "Be Perfect Print, for a vibrant, daring you :) ". I hope the next collection will be all about minimalism, because frankly we had enough of those maximalism collections already...
Back to the collection, of course it was all about the DVF bow ("Oversized Bow"). One of the rare items on Stardoll, released on the DVF Tribute back in 2010. I never understood all the fuss about this bow, I would have never paid a few hundreds of stardollars for it, but for 9 stardollars is a pretty good deal :) I'm planning on styling it as a scarf/bowtie. For me though this collection was all about this dress ("Multi Color Paillettes Frock"). So many colors but still such an easy piece to wear!
I'm wearing : Multi Color Paillettes Frock, DVF/Callie's Picks | Double Chanel Purses, Chanel Tribute | Silver Shimmer Heels, Pretty n' Love | Sparkly Silver Socks, Saint Laurent Tribute | Perennials Socks, Pretty n' Love * | Pastel Paris Hair, Hot Buys Weekly/Callie's Picks | Lady Longhorne Shrung, Sea of Stars | Armor Top, Fallen Angel *
*starcoins items

Lately on Stardoll : Saint Laurent Paris Tribute and Callie's Picks Issue No. 17 : Urban Legends

I will be honest, I'm only writing this post for my blog archive. These two new collections were fairly dissapointing and I hardly found two or three things I liked, but not enough to buy them. The Saint Laurent tribute has some cute accessories but they are overpiced, like the "Spike Velvet Bow" for 16 stardollars, and the "Heavy Chainlinnk Necklace" for 13 stardollars.

However I have spotted two dolls that managed to make those clothes work and created some stunning outfits. Marbum has styled the "Oversized Jersey" from Callie's Picks in a brilliant way, I love the whole sports luxe feeling. voula_beauty wore a black and white outfit, very classy and elegant and added a fresh and young touch with the "Hot Yellow Stilettos" from Saint Laurent Paris.

Callie's Picks Issue No. 16 : Seeing Spots

I'm wearing : Hot Buys Leather Shirt, Fallen Angel | Sharp Cape Blazer, Rio | High Waisted Trousers, Bonjour Bisou * | Cuffed Trousers, Otto * | Harley Spikes Bag, Fashion Inc/Callie's Picks | Ruched Peep Toe Ankle Boot, Bonjour Bisou/Callie's Picks | Crystal Necklace, Voile/Callie's Picks *
*starcoins items

Here we are again, with one more Callie's Picks collection. This time the theme is leopard print. In Callie's words : "And the trend that fashion can never get enough of is, of course, leopard! Season after season, "spotted" on style stars as early as the 1960's, this catty print makes super ferocious comebacks."
I have to admit that I'm not a fan of leopard print, it's difficult to style it and make it look classy. I know many people can pull it off and create amazing outfits, I'm just not one of them. So I went straight for the shoes and accessories, and I found quite a few I liked.
My picks are : Metal Tiger Belt (Bonjour Bisou), 4 stardollars, a February 2009 Hot Buy | Long Fake Eyelashes (Splendid), 13 stardollars, a Hot Buy as well and a much wanted item | Ruched Peep Toe Ankle Boot (Bonjour Bisou), 10 stardollars | Harley Spikes Bag (Fashion Inc), 16 stardollars, it is one of the rewards of Fashion Inc., a Stardoll app, and you can get it for free if you have an android/iphone and some patient | Crystal Necklace (Voile), 54 starcoins |
To my surprise I realised that there are a few items ( Bat Wing Jacket, Pearl Top Shades, New York Heels, Leopard Breeze Skirt) in this collection that are given for free through Fashion Ink. and there are now sold in stardollars and quite expensive too..hmm..

Callie's Picks Issue No. 15 : Boho Chic & Young Hollywood MET Gala 2014

I can't believe we had fifteen Callie's Picks collections already. I'm always excited for Callie's Picks since no matter what the theme will be, you can always find some hidden treasures in there. This collection for instance, the theme is far away from my usual style, but I have found some stuff that I really liked. My picks are the :

Feather Shoulder Jumpsuit (17 stardollars), originally from Bonjour Bisou, a simple and elegant black jumpsuit with a v neck and silver shoulder details (are those supposed to be feathers?).
Leather Bag (11 stardollars), originally from Bonjour Bisou, it was one of the October 2010 Hot Buys and I believe that it was a wanted item. A brown leather bag is one of the pieces that can work with many outfits, for example with a suit and a pair of oxfords in an adrogynous look.
Faux Mink Shorts (14 stardollars), originally from Rio, a 2010 November Hot Buy. I wanted these for a long time but they were sold quite expensive in Starbazaar. Now that I finally have the chance to buy them for an almost reasonable price, I'm having second thoughs as I'm not sure how to style them. But either way they are pretty.

I'm wearing :
Feather Shoulder Jumpsuit (I think the word feather has been overused in this post :P), Callie's Picks/Bonjour Bisou
Black Deep V Top, Perfect Day
Raffia Sunhat, Millionaire Mansion Fashion *
Gianni White Gladiators, LE
Question Mark Bag, Evil Panda
Black Silver Buckle Belt, Voile *
*starcoins items

We also got a new Young Hollywood flash collection, inspired from some of the dresses worn in the MET Gala (click the picture to enlarge). The real versions were worn by Liu Wen, Naomi Campbell and Georgia May Jagger and you can see them in this post from MSW Inspired by blog. I was very disspointed with this collection. The left and right dresses looked so flat and poorly made. It would be better if they released it a few days later, than releasing this rushed collection. The Liu Gown was the best piece along with the Georgia May Heels. The design of the dress was very close to the real version but alas, they had to make it in this barbie pink color.

Callie's Picks Issue No.14 : Punk Princess

This week's Callie's Picks was released earlier today and the theme is "Punk Princess". The store has two floors and the prices range from 4 to 30 stardollars and there are six starcoins items with their prices ranging from 62 to 168 starcoins.
The name might be a bit cheesy but the idea behind this issue is very catchy. I believe that mixing hard and soft pieces could result to a very interesting outfit! In Callie's words : "Don't be afraid to stand out ladies! Bring your edgy and girly extremes out in the same look, and dance like noone is watching."
It seems that with every release the store is getting better and better. This collection had a lot of amazing pieces, many Mortal Kiss items, old Hot Buys and some tributes (mostly Frankie Morello).
My picks are :
"Amazing Breeze Skirt", originally sold at Tingeling in 2012 (same collection as the "Balcony Gate Jacket"). I had my eye on this one for a couple of months but it was quite expensive to buy in Starbazaar so I'm very happy to finally have a chance to buy it for 15 stardollars.
"Silk Tassle Band Jacket", originally sold at Bonjour Bisou, it was a Hot Buy from 2010 under the name of "Hot Buys Bisou Jacket". Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a very wanted item and I never saw it on bazaar from under 600 stardollars. It's a beautiful piece, with stunning details, slightly expensive but totally woth it.
"Metal Head One Piece", originally sold at Frankie Morello tribute in 2012. I adore the graphics on this one and I can use it a lot as a layering piece, like in the outfit below.
"Industrial Necklace", originally sold at Voile in around 2009-2010. In my eyes it looks more like very complicated collar clips than a necklace. It has many different elements and that makes it unique. It can be worn as a statement piece with a black shirt and pants or over a jacket.
"Flowy Feather Headdress", originally from Mortal Kiss. I already have this one and it's one of my favourites from my hat collection. It is difficult to style in a casual outfit, but it can complete a fantasy inspired or high fashion outfit very well.

I followed the theme of punk princess and created this outfit. I want to give credit to gd4e who came up with the idea of layering these two skirts. As you can see I used the studded bodysuit as shoulder pads but I already found many different ways to wear it, so you'll probably see it again in the future. I used the lace dress from the previous Callie's Picks collection as my romantic/soft piece to balance the harshness of the chains and spikes.

I'm wearing:
Silk Tassle Band Jacket, Callie's Picks/Bonjour Bisou
Amazing Breeze Skirt, Callie's Picks/Tingeling
Metal Head One Piece, Callie's Picks/Frankie Morello
Long Vestal Skirt, Other World
Short Bridal Dress, Callie's Picks/Anna Sui Tribute
Left and Right Chain Shoulder Pad, Archive
Stud Wrap Boots, Fallen Angel
Heavyweight Black Platforms, Fallen Angel *

* starcoins items

P.S. I'm sorry for this very long post! I applaud you for reading it to the end :)

Callie's Picks Issue No.13 : Spring Whites

This week's Callie's Picks was released earlier today and the theme was "Spring Whites".
The store has one floor and the prices range from 5 to 24 stardollars and there are five staroins items with their prices ranging from 68 to 130 starcoins

I really like that the latest collections are in the spring mood. I always pull out my white clothes around springtime when the days become pleasantly hot and sunny. In Callie's words "The happy season calls for a clean state in our wardrobes, where the crispest of whites maximize on the growing brightness and give you and uber-classic and polished look".
However, the collection itself wasn't, in my opinion, the best so far. It would be perfect a spring white blazer and pants just to see something different from the mini cute dresses. Of course as always there were items I liked. My picks are the "Silk Shirt" for 13 stardollars, the "White Chanel Inspired Purse" for 15 stardollars, the "White Silk Flounce Skirt" for 13 stardollars and the "Short Bridal Dress" for 22 stardollars.

Now, here is my outfit inspired from this collection. I see white as a classy and chic color. A white suit is as timeless and classy as the black suit but more appropriate for this time of the year. Furthermore it's feminine and polished.

I'm wearing :
Silk Shirt, Callie's Picks
Roaring White Trousers, Decades
Sharp White Cape Blazer, Rio
Button Down Blouse, Pretty n' Love
White Chanel Inspired Purse, Callie's Picks (originally from Chanel Tribute)
Peach Suede Platforms, Subcouture

Callie's Picks Issue No.12 : Pretty in Pastel

This week's Callie's Picks collection was released earlier today. The theme is "Pretty in Pastel".
In Callie's words : " For this issue, I've put together a collection of my favourite spring pastel pieces that I hope you 'll love! Soft pinks, baby blues, light yellows and candy mints offer a classic girly and romantic feeling, and I've thrown in some awesome boots and accessories to round out the looks".
The store has one floor and the prices range from 3 to 26 stardollars and there are six starcoins items with their prices ranging from 40 to 136 starcoins.
This collection is the best so far! It's aesthetically pleasant to look at, the clothes on each mannequin match and there is a cohesion that the previous collections were missing.
My favourite items from this issue are the "Pastel Paris Hair" for 10sd, the "Mint Stripe Purse" for 10sd, the "Silver Zip Wedges" for 12sd, the "Blush Jeweled Jacket" for 12sd, the "Peach Lace Short" for 136sc and the "Mint Ruffle Jumpsuit" for 19sd. I liked quite a lot as you can see :P

When it comes to pastel colors I like to combine them with more bright and vibrant colors. So in this outfit I wore my pastel wig and sunglasses with an orange stripy skirt and a mariniere top, which I never thought they would look good together, but surprisingly enough they make the perfect match. All those pastel pieces in the store have seriously messed up my mind and now I want to wear spring and colorful outfits instead of black and white!

I'm wearing :
White Mariniere Pull, Basics
Creamiscle Stripe Skirt, Original Future
Blush Jeweled Jacket, Callie's Picks (originally from D&G tribute)
Silver Zip Wedges, Callie's Picks (originally from Bonjour Bisou)
Sky Blue Shades, Callie's Picks (originally from Bonjour Bisou)
Pastel Paris Hair, Callie's Picks (originally from Hot Buys Weekly)

Callie's Picks Issue No.11 : Artpop

The theme of this week's release is "ArtPop". The prices range from 7 to 25 stardollars and there are seven starcoins items, ranging from 48 to 150 starcoins. This collection is filled with crazy patterns and bright colors. Since I'm not into colorful clothes, I had a hard time finding clothes that were appealing to me. However in this burst of color there are some pieces worth buying.
The "Picasso Pony Heels", 23 stardollars, (originally from Nickolas Kirkwood) are quirky yet wearable. The "Fringed Gloves", 8 stardollars, (originally from Frankie Morello tribute) I had them already. I use them a lot layered under coats or long sleevd tops. They add just a little bit of fun in an outfit. The "Stacked Cuffs", 56 starcoins, (originally from ELLE), are not something special, but they are very cheap. I imagine wearing the "Sequin Skirt", 13 stardollars, in a glam rock outfit with a pair of combat boots and a structured jacket. And last but definitely not least, the "Dress Ispired By Alexander McQueen", 16 stardollars, (originally from Voile) is the wow piece of the collection. Even though it does not fit well on the legs, for 16 stardollars it's a total bargain.

Callie's Picks Issue No.10 : Belle Of The Ball

The new collection of Callie's Picks was released yesterday. The theme was "Belle of the Ball" and it's Carnival inspired. The store has nine different costumes (one of each is for guys) and the prices range from 4 to 22 stardollars and from 52 to 84 starcoins.
Even though there are not many items in starcoins, the stardollar items are quite reasonably priced. Stardoll seems to heard the members complains and started selling the pieces in their original prices.
I liked quite a few pieces from this collection. My picks are :
-The "Beaded Dress Inspired By McQueen", 22 stardollars : It's beautiful and it's inspired by Alexander McQueen, need I say more?
-The "Black No Heel Shoe Tights", 13 stardollars : I already had them (from Windows on the World) and I'm wearing them quite often. It's one of my favourite piece of clothing in my wardrobe.
-The "Embroidered Bell Sleeve Coat", 16 stardollars :  I had this one too, it's was from Tingeling. I like the kimono sleeves and the graphics.
-The "Forest Fairy Hair", 6 stardollars : I liked the pastel, faded color of this one and for 6 stardollars it's quite a bargain.
-The "Metal Onesie", 11 stardollars : Yeah, I 'm wierd and I like this.
